Limestone Medical Center is now hiring a full time Medical Laboratory Technician or AMT certification or equivalent. Must be willing to work Evenings and weekends. Experience preferred but not required. This facility has competitive wages and is an exceptional place to work and grow.
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Laboratory Manager, obtains specimens from patients and performs established clinical tests and procedures. Interprets test results. Performs instrument and equipment maintenance. Performs analytical QC on all systems as required. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
Job Qualification:
Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Personal Job-Related Skills: Ability to calculate test results and effective oral and written communication abilities.
Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP or equivalent or registry eligible.
Experience:
Prior Work Experience: One year in a medical laboratory preferred.
Technical Training: None required.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate periods of sitting and standing, lifting up to 30 pounds. Must be able to hear equipment alarms and have vision to read labeling, instructions and to conduct test.
