Job Description:

A Registered Nurse willing to work on a team; our team has many different tasks and works in multiple areas of the hospital, this position requires Flexibility.

The RN will work in Endoscopy as the circulating RN on Colonoscopy and EGD cases. The RN will plan, assess, and participate in the delivery of all phases of the GI lab procedure. The RN will provide nursing care & recover the patient post-anesthesia.

The RN will work in the Specialty Clinic administering outpatient IV medications, blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomy. The RN will assist the physicians with outpatient procedures. The RN will work in the CHF Clinic: assessing, monitoring and educating the patients. The RN will work in the Wound Care Clinic: assessing and educating the patient and assisting the physician with debridement.

The RN will work with inpatient Case Management, Discharge Planning and Utilization Review. The RN will work with the patient to develop a plan for services and equipment that will be needed when patient is discharged from our facility. The RN will participate in the Swing Bed Program assisting with referrals from other facilities & working with the insurance companies.

Qualifications:

1. Currently registered and licensed in the state of Texas
2. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
3. 2 years of experience as a Registered nurse
4. Current CPR, ACLS, PALS
5. Effective organization and communication skills
