Evening Medical Assistant – FMC

Position Summary

The Evening Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical and administrative support for the Evening Rural Health Clinic operating from 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. The MA assists the Nurse Practitioner in delivering high-quality patient care, supports efficient clinic workflow, and promotes a positive patient experience.

This position plays an important role in improving access to care for patients unable to attend daytime appointments and supports efforts to reduce unnecessary emergency department utilization through expanded evening clinic services.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Licensure/Certification
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Current BLS certification required

 Experience

• Previous clinic or physician office experience preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Rural healthcare experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently during evening clinic operations
