LMC mourns the passing of board member Don Waller. Don was appointed to the Board on January 25, 2011 and faithfully served for over nine years. Don was an intelligent businessman and his experience was invaluable as a member of the Board of Directors. He took his leadership role seriously and lent his personal perspective to his decisions. He never hesitated to share his expertise to the many areas in which he was especially knowledgeable including accounting, plant operations and information technology. Don was goal oriented and sought opportunities to better himself and the Hospital. He fully recognized the importance of having health care in our community and he was very active in promoting Hospital services. He was not all business, however, and he could share a humorous story that always brought a smile or a laugh. And of course he was quick to voice his support of his beloved Aggies. Don and Joe Phillips envisioned having a dialysis center in our community and although they are both gone to their heavenly reward, the fruits of their labors are not in vain. Don Waller had a larger than life impact and he will be remembered for everything that he did for LMC.
