Position Summary
The Evening Clinic Nurse Practitioner provides primary and urgent care services during extended clinic hours (approx. 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) to improve access to timely care and reduce non-emergent emergency department utilization.
This role focuses on same-day and after-hours care, management of acute and chronic conditions, and coordination of follow-up services to ensure continuity of care. The position is a key component of the organization’s strategy to shift care from reactive emergency services to accessible, community-based primary care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Texas
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Adult-Gerontology (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA)
- Prescriptive authority in accordance with Texas regulations
- Minimum of 2–3 years clinical experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:

- Rural or underserved populations
- Chronic disease management
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., CPSI/TruBridge)
