RN – Specialty Clinic

Position Summary:

Limestone Medical Center is seeking a flexible and dependable Registered Nurse to join our Specialty Services team. This unique position provides the opportunity to work in several areas of the hospital, including the Specialty Clinic, Infusion Clinic, Endoscopy, CHF Clinic, and Wound Care.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented nurse who is comfortable adapting to different responsibilities and providing high-quality care in a variety of clinical settings.

Essential Responsibilities:

Specialty and Infusion Clinic

• Administer outpatient IV medications, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy and related outpatient services.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Assist physicians with outpatient procedures.
• Provide patient education and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

CHF Clinic

• Assess and monitor patients with congestive heart failure.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, diet, symptom management, and disease management.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs and provider orders.
• Communicate changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate provider.

Endoscopy

• Serve as a circulating RN during colonoscopy and EGD procedures.
• Plan, assess, and participate in all phases of GI procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide education regarding their care.
• Monitor and recover patients following anesthesia.
• Support patient safety throughout the preoperative, procedural, and recovery phases.

Wound Care

• Work alongside the wound care provider, certified wound care nurse, and interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with the assessment, management, and treatment of patients with chronic or non-healing wounds.
• Provide wound care education to patients and caregivers.
• Document treatments, wound progression, and patient response to care.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Effective organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of multiple departments.
