JOB SUMMARY:
A Registered Nurse willing to work on a team; our team has many different tasks and works in multiple areas of the hospital; this position requires Flexibility.
The RN will work in the Specialty Clinic administering outpatient IV medications, blood transfusions, and therapeutic phlebotomy, etc. The RN will assist the physicians with outpatient procedures.
The RN will work in the CHF Clinic: assessing, monitoring, and educating the patients. The RN will provide interventions for the patient when appropriate.
The RN will work with our Endoscopy team serving as the circulating RN on Colonoscopy and EGD cases. The RN will plan, assess, and participate in the delivery of all phases of the GI lab procedure. The RN will provide nursing care & recover the patient post-anesthesia.
The RN will work with our wound care provider, certified wound care nurse and team. The RN will assist in the assessment, management and treatment of patients with chronic, non-healing wounds.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered Nurse OR Licensed Vocational Nurse with a valid nursing license. BCLS & ACLS Certification. Annual Education in Procedural Conscious Sedation.
- Personal Job-Related Skills: Demonstrates ability in nursing practice & judgment, leadership and management abilities and effective verbal and written communication skills. .
- Prior Work Experience: One year experience working as a Registered Nurse preferably Med/Surg Nursing or Operating Room experience.
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate physical activity. Must be able to tolerate extended periods of standing, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who are unable to reposition themselves.

- Builds rapport with patients & co-workers maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Interacts with patients, family members, medical staff members and department managers to provide continuity of care.
- Maintains appropriate isolation precautions based on the patients status
- Follows guidelines isolation precautions based on the patients status.
- Patient safety is considered in all procedures and care in the Specialty Clinic and Endoscopy Department.
