Description

JOB SUMMARY:          Perform all duties associated for processing inpatient and out-patient admissions. Processing orders for all therapy departments, Specialty clinic and Radiology. Scheduling patients when required. Ensuring that all information is correct for billing for services including but limited to verifying pre-authorizations. Communicating with patients concerning appointments, financial responsibility, and any additional information required by the department’s procedures.

 

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Personal Job-Related Skills:

    1. Have good communication and
    2. Process excellent customer service skills
    3. Familiar with operating personal computers and knowledge of general clerical duties
    4. Assist department managers with any duties assigned that may not be outlined in this “Job Description”.

Experience:

  • Prior Work Experience: One year office experience in a medical setting
  • Prefer knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Process good customer service skills
