Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Specialty Clinic team. This role supports multiple outpatient service lines and requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and registered nurses to provide high-quality patient care across several specialty areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the RN in the Endoscopy department with Colonoscopy and EGD procedures
- Prepare, maintain, and manage endoscopy equipment and supplies
- Administer outpatient IM and SQ injections, IV medications, and perform therapeutic phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with outpatient clinic procedures
- Provide patient assessment, monitoring, and education in the Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Clinic
- Support the Wound Care Clinic by assessing patients, providing education, and assisting with wound debridement
- Prepare, maintain, and manage wound care equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting multiple clinical areas as needed
- Execute additional responsibilities as requested by manager/administration to support clinic operations
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an LVN
- Current CPR and ACLS certifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
